Free Fruit Trees for Schools in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk

Fruit trees offer many benefits to schools providing a teaching resource, fruit for eating and cooking and benefits for local wildlife.  Planting local variety trees in your orchard gives added benefit of local significance, so increasing education value.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Orchard for Schools is offering up to 6 fruit trees per school chosen from nearly 250 apple, pear, plum and cherry varieties.  The packs also include planting kits, guides for caring for the trees and curriculum linked teaching materials to help you get the most from your new mini-orchard
